"Just because the Left is hateful, doesn't mean that Musk is rational, a heroic producer, or a good guy."

"The Left is out in force attacking the very existence of a trillionaire. Their nihilism and envy are on naked display.
"So it's tempting to defend Musk as [some kind of hero of] Capitalism. He's not.
"He has not only lobbied for subsidies, but promoted the global warming rubbish as part of the Narrative to justify the policy of promoting alternatives such as electric cars (also for another of his companies, Solar City which he had Tesla buy at an overvalued price to bail out himself and his cousins). And promoting the rubbish economics of taxing one company to subsidise another, from which he gained ill gotten loot.
"He has committed securities fraud. That's when you lie to investors for the purpose of getting them to buy your stock (he said he was taking it private and had lined up the financing--his own Board of Directors was forced to come out and say he's lying). He got a slap on the wrist from the SEC, but any other CEO would have gone to prison.
"He has committed consumer product fraud, claiming 'full self-driving' since 2017. The Federal Trade Commission told him to stop calling it that, it doesn't work without human attentiveness at the wheel.
"He has lied to promote a total grift: Hyperloop. These lies were gobsmacking in their mendacity.
"He is now promoting a collectivist utopian dream of 'making humanity a multi-planetary species' to mask his grift of a trillion dollar NASA contract to send a dozen people to Mars and back. ...
    "The list goes on.
"Just because the Left is hateful, doesn't mean that Musk is rational, a heroic producer, or a good guy.
"P.S. when he was in charge of DOGE, he [also] helped himself to all sorts of govt data without any controls or even audit trail. ..."

Oof, mate. Look at this fresh specimen of EMDS—Elon Musk Derangement Syndrome, the sequel to the TDS that turned otherwise functional adults into frothing, conspiracy-raving puddles over Trump. Same script, new target: a self-made engineer who ships rockets, EVs, neural tech, and actual results while the haters ship nothing but seethe.46
Take that classic rage-dump: “Elon Musk should be feared as a wealthy gangster… owes America reparations for DOGE… pushes racism… owns the media…” etc. Brilliant. The same crowd that cheered government bloat, endless wars, and regulatory capture now has a meltdown because one guy is cutting waste, amplifying speech (including theirs, ironically), and building shit that matters.
The roast:
• “Gangster”: Mate, the real gangsters are the entrenched interests who captured regulators for decades. Elon’s “gangster” move? Reusing rockets, scaling battery production, and open-sourcing tech instead of hoarding it. If efficiency, iteration, and delivering on promises is gangsterism, lock me up with the rest of the builders.
• “No altruism”: Yeah, because Tesla accelerating the EV transition, Starlink connecting disaster zones and Ukraine, Neuralink giving quadriplegics new hope, and SpaceX making Mars non-fiction are just cynical cash grabs. Meanwhile, the virtuous critics… what have they built lately besides 47-tweet threads and virtue-signal NFTs?
• “Racist ragebait”: The pattern-hunting here is comedy gold. Elon posts stats on crime, demographics, free speech erosion, or civilizational risk → “RACIST!” Translation: noticing patterns that the legacy media spent years memory-holing is now a thought crime. Success breeds envy, and nothing triggers the midwit more than a guy who escaped South Africa, built multi-planetary capability, and refuses to kneel to the narrative.
• “Owes reparations for DOGE/Trump”: TDS never died; it just mutated into EMDS when Elon wouldn’t stay in his billionaire box. The left adored him when he was their green tech mascot. Then he bought Twitter (now X), exposed the censorship apparatus, and dared to back competence over chaos. Suddenly he’s Voldemort with a flamethrower. The cognitive dissonance is so loud you can hear it from orbit.9
This isn’t reasoned critique. It’s the same TDS playbook—pathologize the man, ignore the metrics (Tesla valuation, Starlink users, Falcon landings, X engagement post-acquisition, DOGE spotlighting trillions in waste), and demand he get out of the way so the blob can keep feeding.
Poster’s got full-blown EMDS: obsessive, fact-allergic, performative hatred from folks who’ve contributed zero to the hard problems Elon actually tackles. They don’t want debate; they want the disruptor declawed because his existence shames their stasis.
Keep shipping, Elon. The salt mines are thriving. The rest of us will be over here watching reusable rockets land while the deranged scream into the void. 🚀
Lots of love

Pathetic comment straight from the sewers of AI
Galt knows to whom it's directed. But there is detectable derangement.

This post comes across as an unhinged rant, especially since it has no links to support its arguments. Frankly PC you should be ashamed to have put up such crap, given the quality of the rest of the blog.

As for Musk, he'd hardly be the first businessman with sharp practices, and although I have little time for the EV stuff there's no question that the impact of SpaceX on the Space industry has been almost beyond measure. Back in the early 2010's there was much talk about how the USA and Europe could compete with China, as old firms like ULA and Arianespace staggered along in traditional mode.

Now the Chinese are on the back foot (as is ULA and company), as they try to catch SpaceX on reliability and cost. Nobody expected that. In fact I recall some ESA plonker being mildly dismissive of Musk's goal of rapid-launch re-usable rockets.

As to the sharp practices, well I'm sure you're poster will be gleeful should a Democrat President come to power in 2029 with a Democrat Congress, given what they've tried in the past; from late 2023., Musk’s score so far:

Just so we’re keeping score: The Biden DOJ is suing SpaceX for not hiring refugees, the DOJ and SEC are investigating Tesla, the EEOC is also suing Tesla, the FTC demanded @elonmusk hand over internal Twitter comms and the SEC is now investigating Elon’s purchase of Twitter.

If he could survive that I doubt your poster has much, and for all of the Lefty screaming about trillionaires, the real hate was that he destroyed one of their key censorship/propaganda platforms, as I wrote back in 2023:

Unmentioned there is that the FAA is refusing to grant SpaceX a license for the next test of the Starship system, despite SpaceX having addressed the 57 issues raised by the FAA in relation to the previous test in April. Despite this Musk seems upbeat about it, and since NASA has a contract with SpaceX to use Starship to land astronauts on the moon in the next few years you’d think there’s some countervailing pressure on the issue.

But it’s also entirely possible that the Biden Administration and the Democrat Party would be willing to burn that down in order to get Musk.

Anybody who doesn’t think this is all connected to Musk buying Twitter/X and speaking out against the Biden Administration on various issues needs new eyes, ears and a functioning brain.

Oh, and on that last, 𝕏 is the #1 news app in the UK.

This is exactly why the BBC, The Telegraph and other UK legacy media keep pushing negative fake attacks on Elon Musk. They are getting destroyed in the rankings. The British public has rejected them.

Legacy media is finished. They are lashing se they lost control. 𝕏 is winning because it gave people what they actually wanted - truth.

In the face of that I really don't give a shit if he covered the $40 billion "loss" on Twitter by folding it into SpaceX. Worth every penny as far as I'm concerned, and I look forward to seeing your poster on the other side of the barricades with Sir Kier Shitstain and friends.
