Strange coincidence. I just published my post about this on No Minister this morning, one part of it using the same 2021 report by Pielke and Ritchie on climate scenarios.
I decided to go a bit further Fun With Climate Science – Bad Inputs:
- Bad Models
- Bad Scenario GHG emission inputs into the models
- Bad measurements used against the models
As I point out, the scenarios take already flawed estimates of human population growth (which is the simplest of the four factors to estimate) and then pile on more bad assumptions and estimate errors for the nested layers on top of that; industrialisation -> Technologies -> Energy Production/Consumption... to get the GHG volume estimates that they then shove into the models.
And yet this insanity proceeeds. I guess it's going to take blackouts and massive increases in power prices before things change???
And yet blackouts and massive increases in power prices have been seen from Australia to Texas to Western Europe—and still the insanity continues.
Which tells us the movement is clearly not evidence based ...
