Quote of the Day: On politicians, ponytails, and power-lust in a small climate

“The nice thing about politicians here [in NZ] is that they are not as immune to being able to
insulate themselves from ordinary people. They can only get away with so much nonsense
before it begins to affect their power-lust by being voted out.
“[Because] it doesn't matter what portion of the globe you are in. Those drawn to positions
of power … are disproportionately psychopathic… In large countries with less accountability,
this leads to things like drone strikes, making examples by arresting political prisoners, or
invading the Ukraine. In smaller countries where less can be gotten away with, it leads to
heads of state pulling females' ponytails.”
