The New York Times is not the paper it was, but it still regularly sets the news and political agenda. And the New York Times has now come out four-square for marijuana legalisation, saying the US Government should Repeal Prohibition, Again.
It took 13 years for the United States to come to its senses and end Prohibition, 13 years in which people kept drinking, otherwise law-abiding citizens became criminals and crime syndicates arose and flourished. It has been more than 40 years since Congress passed the current ban on marijuana, inflicting great harm on society just to prohibit a substance far less dangerous than alcohol.
The federal government should repeal the ban on marijuana.
It should.
This is big.

There are quite tight controls, and dry towns in Aussie. I have little doubt that if these controls were not in place suddenly I have little doubt that these places would tear themselves apart. Any ideas how to go from the status quo to freedom choice in these towns? Suzuki
