Repeal Prohibition, Again!

imageThis is big.

The New York Times is not the paper it was, but it still regularly sets the news and political agenda. And the New York Times  has now come out four-square for marijuana legalisation, saying the US Government should Repeal Prohibition, Again.

It took 13 years for the United States to come to its senses and end Prohibition, 13 years in which people kept drinking, otherwise law-abiding citizens became criminals and crime syndicates arose and flourished. It has been more than 40 years since Congress passed the current ban on marijuana, inflicting great harm on society just to prohibit a substance far less dangerous than alcohol.
The federal government should repeal the ban on marijuana.

It should.

This is big.

  1. some humans abuse everything they touch so why should marijuana be any different . it is just they way things are .the planet has given us the most wonderful plant hemp can house us,clothes ,us feed us,light our way,and take us anywhere we want to go.marijuna can make the sick well again and doing all if this with out any harm to us or the planet. 2. There are quite tight controls, and dry towns in Aussie. I have little doubt that if these controls were not in place suddenly I have little doubt that these places would tear themselves apart. Any ideas how to go from the status quo to freedom choice in these towns? Suzuki
