QUOTE OF THE DAY: On “Old Money”

“[Working with new money is] much more interesting than old. People with old money are nearly always having to be adjusted downwards.”
- Prince Rupert zu Loewenstein,  banker, Bavarian aristocrat, and financier for the Rolling Stones, quoted in his Telegraph obituary today.

  1. Heh. Yep, the fire for making it goes out with the first generation.

Always interesting to read of the suits behind big acts like the Stones. You find these rocknroll lifestyles were maintained by a suit with brains & solid methods of organisation. ie, proper cashflows & statements of accounts. Jagger's an astute businessman, & worked out he needed hire the right help.
