@Richard - How does growing genetically modified food infringe on your rights? How does nuclear power infringe on your rights? How does a new hydro scheme infringe on your rights? How does me chopping down a tree on my property infringe on your rights?
Unless, of course, you are referring to the right to boss other people around.
Richard Watts - Your second sentence is dead right. However, it is a complete non sequitur from the first one. The Greens seek to infringe on the rights of others to force people to do what they want, or not do what they don't want, and to force people to pay for what they want, and to tax people doing what they don't want.

The things they seek to ban impinge on the rights of others. People have rights to do things but not the right to infringe on the rights of others.

"How does nuclear power infringe on your rights?"
Try asking the Ukranians and Japanese. They'll tell you.
Try asking the French, who have enjoyed cheap electricity courtesy of nuclear power for years.
Care to supply the name of a single person hurt or killed at Fukushima Judge?
And what about the shower heads and mercury light bulbs?
