Guess what folks. Sports writer Jay Price is exactly right:
“Tiger's private life is none of our business.”
That’s the point.
“. . . Sure, we're all curious.
“But there's a difference between curiosity and a need to know.
“If he was running for public office, or had his finger on the nuclear button, we might have reason to question Woods' judgment.
“But he's a golfer.
“What's the worst a miscreant like him might do, if he's not forced to come clean for our enjoyment — wear plaid on Sundays?
“. . . like most athletes who aren't named John Daly or Dennis Rodman, Woods has worked hard to keep his private life private.
“Now the gossipmongers have their shorts in a bunch, because he won't spill some dirt.
Because, hey, what's more fun than seeing an icon undressed in public?
“. . . It's only coincidence that the same weekend the satellite trucks were lining up outside the Woods' gated community, Jeter was named Sports Illustrated's Sportsman of the Year. . .
"‘I realize people are curious to hear what's going on with you away from the field,’ Jeter said. ‘But I think some things should be private.’
“That doesn't change because Tiger Woods drives his car into a fire hydrant, and we want to know if he had a fight with his wife.
“If some people don't want to buy Buicks because he's not sharing the messy details, that's their right.
“If they don't want to wear shirts with a Nike swoosh on them, that's surely their privilege.
“And if at some point, Nike or another of his corporate sponsors decides Tiger isn't the guy they want representing their product — hey, that's life in the marketplace.
“One way or another, Woods will be back on the golf course soon enough, muscling impossible shots out of the deep rough toward distant pins, and draining 30-footers for our amusement.
“Until then, the rest of us might have to get a life.”
Think you can manage that?

It would be great if he just told the next camera crew to simply f** off, it's none of your business, and went back to playing golf.
We hear so much about it because the MSM these days have the same standards as New Idea.
Yeah but Tiger Inc is more than golf.
He preached clean living, family lifestyle etc...and is clearly a dirty rat.
Take for example John Daly who is a fabulous golfer but a boozing, philandering pig of a man. Limited John Daly Inc potential off the course.
Tiger Inc is an international brand, he's profited from using his clean image off the golf course to endorse products. The branding is fake.
As much as some say its none of our business, it is also all about his business so he has to man up and take it firmly on the chin and stop crying like a baby that everyone's picking on him.
It is ghastly to watch the manner in which the media clamber over each other to tear at the carcass of the private life of a true sporting icon. I wish they would leave the bugger alone. He is answerable only to his wife and family. Nobody else. Not you. Not me. I can't wait to see him back on the golf course, he is the best there has ever been, and that is the only place I will judge him.

He's not crying, baby. He's saying NOTHING.

Another point, why is a man who succumbs to rooting a wee bit of flossy-dinkle considered a "dirty rat" by women? What about the flossy temptress?

Tiger has since issued a full whining statement on the matter bleating about privacy and the media.
Regarding the women, of which there appears to be many. They aren't an internationally family good-guy branded sportsman with a living made off endorsements are they?
Cactus
What if he has? Who gives a shit about his car crash. It REALLY isn't the media's business. It isn't anyone else's business- certainly not yours, dear.
Regarding the flossies: Naaah, course not. They make their money telling the media how they've rutted famous men (whether they have or not). It's not interesting other than to notice that most women would shag another woman's partner or husband in a heartbeat, given the right circumstances and opportunity. The irony is how these same critters will lambast a man for falling for one of their own.

Regarding families.
While Tiger may or may not have done something to hurt his own family, he hasn't done anything to hurt anyone else's family.
On the other hand there are those who HAVE done so and who are undertaking further actions which cause great harm to families. The fraudsters whose emails were recently hacked come to mind, as does the motley collection of couch-farter statist "workers" and cheap fib politicos.
Tiger, an entertainer who gets paid to whack little white balls around the garden, is irrelevant. Focus your attentions and express your scorn upon those who deserve it.

In a week when the climate scam crime against humanity has been revealed it is salutary that Tiger's life occupies the media to the degree it does. Tiger's sex-life: Who cares?
PS The jokes circulating are quite good though.

Husband cheats on wife is the lead story on TV3 – give me a break!
Just happens the hubby has a Christian children-storybook name ‘Tiger’.
This whole affair (no pun intended) is almost as boring as the worlds most boring sport – golf!
He should get back on the course beating-up on those obese rich white-guys per usual and bonking their wives on the side.
I think it would be splendid if Woods, and other chaps, were honest and said ..."my lady Wife is a frigid, snotty middle class cow who is losing her looks and will not put out the way I want her to; dozens of women who are younger, better looking and more 'exciting' are happy to do whatever I want so if my wife would kindly pack her bags and leave..." [or words to that effect]
Instead we have the tiresome "I have sinned" routine, as if something has changed since last week.
"He preached clean living, family lifestyle etc...and is clearly a dirty rat."
And if you look to golfers for inspiration and philosophical guidance, you are a nitwit.
I'm fed up to the back teeth with this bullshit line about celebutard x being a 'role model' (therefore giving us the right to peep through the keyhole) just because he can hit a ball.
Get a brain and figure life out for your self.
You have to laugh at the hilarious absurdity of it all. Now we have several skanky women trying to beat each other to the pay-day.
When are men in high profile positions going to learn? If these women really loved you are cared about protecting you they would not be saving every text or voice message you leave for them.
Well written Ruth!
Good points
