Quote of the day: On children

"Children today are tyrants. They contradict their parents, gobble their food and tyrannize their teachers."
…………………………………………  - Socrates [hat tip Stephen Hicks]

PC - It is not really known who wrote the quote - it may have been Socrates, it may have been Plato attributing it to Socrates, it may have been neither of them. The idea that children are tyrants is not true though, is it? Children are subject to coercion as people see fit and tend to be treated authoritarianly.
