. . . promoting capitalist acts between consenting adults.
Well done notPC, a list of straw men. Just what we always needed. Nice bit of hysteria. Tell us that story about the global warming alarmists again, uncle Pete.
Well judging from the above post, it appears somone is a nanny boy and it aint PC.LGM
Peter, most of this is bollocks. I won't go through them all, but for heaven's sake "we may not fire staff who steal from us?" - read the freakin' ERA dude. People get (legally) sacked for stealing all the time. And "we may not let [our children] eat tasty food"? Which tasty foods exactly are you not allowed to let your children eat, Peter? I could go on, but it just gets worse. And the last one is just plain nasty, regardless of your political views. What the fuck is wrong with you?
TaneEach and every one of the points on the poster relates to an actual occurance, or several, in New Zealand. Where have you been living? Under a rock? Abdul
So 'the last one is just plain nasty', eh?The Kahuis, anyone?Paying no-hopers to have babies they neither want, nor care for properly, has been a calculated political ploy for the last couple of decades.*That's* what I call plain nasty.
As pointed out, good points are getting diluted by hysteria. To those people who took the time point out the things on this list which simply are not true, what you have to realize is that PC simply isn't interested in the truth, or debate, this blog only exists to recruit like minded people though provocative statements (just like SOLO) and as with any wingnut ideology, they will play fast and loose with the truth just as much as they like.To lgm, are you now the 'Trevor Mallard' figure here? your personal attacks says more about your lack of self confidence than the constitutions of the posters you attack. To sus, pointing out the things which are true does not magically make the things which are not true become true, please save you embarrassingly piss weak reasoning for the next solo gig.
The key point is that this is all about the state initiating force against adults. That is the fundamental point. You either believe the state should initiate force against peaceful adults or not, PC is not, neither am I, the critics presumably are, but will not admit it straight up.Those who do believe in nanny state will turn it all around into "not caring" about a, b or c - because they only believe solutions can be achieved by force.
PC simply isn't interested in the truth, or debate, this blog only exists to recruit like minded people though provocative statements (just like SOLO) and as with any wingnut ideology, they will play fast and loose with the truth just as much as they like.I don't think that's true, but maybe it seems that way because often statements/blog/SOLO posts are deliberately written to appeal to emotion and outrage rather than to reason. And the blogger tends to butt into the comments, which I think they shouldn't do.Agree about LGM - the Son of Readbaiter I think. And just about everytime the intelligent DenMT posts a comment people come after him like pack of hounds, which isn't a good look. Peace.
To the sorry fool who posts as "Why do I Bother"So you're another nanny boy weenie, eh? Thought as much. How pitiful you are. You have not been able to marshall a rational, defensible argument in your posts. Pathetic, really. Hollow. The list on the poster is a list of things which actually are occurring. Your denial mode of dealing with the World has not prevented any of these terrible acts from occuring. Now it is clear you love the nanny state and support its ideology, but denial of reality is a form of insanity. You need therapy. Get help! The trouble with your sort is that you believe in a mushy, self-contradictory set of myths and habits, none of which you've had the wit to examine in depth. This leaves you completely unprepared to deal with opposition to your position. Reason and logic are alien to you. For you reality is subject to whims, beliefs and worship. This is known as "Primacy of Consciousness"- a defective mentality, an illness. I loathe weak minded morons such as you. You're worthless and should be made to feel that way. That's why I kick the sand in your face and spit on you when the opportunity arises. There is nothing of substance to you and that's something that is usefully (and easily) demonstrated. You could do domething really useful though; top yourself! Then you won't need to deal with reality, let alone deny it.LGM
LGM do you realise just how much you just embbarased yourself? Do you know how hipocritical and ridiculous your post looks on the computer screen. I almost feel ashamed that I agree with you point.
Tane Wilton? Could it be the infamous Tane of disgraceful behaviour on so many blogs? The well known KFC aficionado?
My PC....you kicked over a major rock with this post.....lefties are seeming very sensitive these days....could it be the undeniable inconvieniant truths of their dopgma being brought to light for more and more people via EFB/anti smacking, eco warmist bullshit thats making them sore...?
Message to a few posters:PC alarmist - can you actually refute anything NotPC has put onto his site about climate change or is your discourse confined to mocking and rhetoric?Tane Wilton - paying no-hopers to breed is an outrage, but you don't seem to understand that the emphasis in this statement is on the word 'paying'. We are forced through the tax system to subsidise violent, incompetent parents in raising their often unwanted and neglected children. PC has no problem with no-hopers such as the Kahuis breeding (sad though that is), it's the forced subsidisation (i.e. economic encouragement) of it, which helps perpetuate the problem. Why do I bother - there is a grain of truth in what you have said. Rational argument is possible without resorting to hysterical attack.Abdul - nicely said.Anon - I think PC uses reason AND emotion when putting his case, the second following on from the first.
Ruth, rudeness deserves rudeness. Why the fuck *do* you bother? But if you persist in sniffing around, then for Christ's sake be big enough to use your name. You're fooling nobody."pointing out the things which are true does not magically make the things which are not true become true ..."???
This is not the first time you have accused anyone whose comment you don't like as being me, and I am getting mighty sick of it. I suggest you pull your head in SUS.You know nothing about me, and next to nothing about what I think except for a couple of issues I feel passionately about. You know even less about who I do or do not support.BTW I'm surprised you don't know that anonymity underpins democracy - the secret vote etc. All my political donations have been anonymous because it's nobody's bloody business who I support. I look at blog posting in that light too - if a blogger allows anon comments I have a right to remain anonymous for the same reason as my donations are anon- so I don't get personally persecuted now, or in the future, for my views.I am interested to know who is telling you these various people are me. Presumably they have access to my IP address and so forth.
Anonymous/ Why do I bother/ Ruthie / __________It's the banal imbecility of your posts that gives you away every time. Abdul the Butcher
PC knows from his Statcounter and cookies who is who in the comment section. It's easy to trace - even on a high traffic blog like this. What you and Sus think doesn't matter one iota to me.
"It's easy to trace - even on a high traffic blog like this. "You'll have to show me how sometime. ;^)
It was easy on TypePad - they collected all the system and IP info with the comment, and you could search comments by domain, IP addy etc and match them up. Blogger comments are still in the stoneage though, so maybe not so easy...U can buy me the CD mentioned above for Xmas. Mum tells me I would like it.
Settle down, Ruth. I'm not concerned with what or whom you support. But if you spout nonsense, expect it to be mocked.:)
As can you, when you suggest other posters are me.I have been involved with Libz from Day 1 - I have never in 10 years been invited to any social gathering, mind you, but that is a post for another day.I admire PC as much as any man I've ever known in my life. He is a hard-ass and we don't always get along, but he has more balls than any of the other men I've encountered in life.
"I admire PC as much as any man I've ever known in my life. He is a hard-ass and we don't always get along, but he has more balls than any of the other men I've encountered in life."PC....oh er!;-)
All the empty headed ire directed at me is most entertaining, LGM in particular should be thanked for his(her?) response which is the kind of comedy gold which is so hard to find these days. Predictably, none of you are in any danger of actually addressing the point (but as pointed out, this is not important), all these personal attacks and endless obfuscations of the argument make me think that theres a lot of wasted Labour party list talent on this site.
