The PM was on the ropes and Key let her go. Nice one. As Tamihere is saying on Radio Live, and he should know, this was an utterly machiavellian masterstroke on her part.

Congratulations. Shows it all for this part of the debate.

People have observed that Clark is much happier dealing with Key than Brash. Unsurprising really, given his piss-poor performance since taking the helm.

Expect Kohn Key to be replaced very soon as non-leader of the non-existant 'opposition'.

He had a ready-made constituency of maybe up to 75% of new Zealanders and what has he done? He has urinated all over them with this half assed and ill-concieved 'compromise'.

What kind of person will castrate his own party and its opportunity to leverage a strategic advantage in this way? The man is beneath my contempt and there's no way National will get my vote - either for its candidate or party - at the next election.

Key is a *real* man. A man who is not afraid to stand up and say hitting one's progeny in NOT a right.

I am proud to be a member of the National Party today.

Men who do not take a stand against violence are the lowest of the low. And a particular low rung in hell is saved for those who know about violence against women and children but look the other way.

You are probably 'anonymous' for a very good reason, then.

You are a proud member of the National Party who is, apparently, too stupid to recognise the distinction between smacking and violence.

This is the very reason why you are doomed. you have no ability to think things through logically. What arrogance makes you think that the huge majority of parents should be automatically and unthinkingly lumped in with the bottom rungs of society, the dregs of creation who abuse, victimise and torture their children?

You, like your precious 'leader', are a fool.

Sorry, I didn't mean to write 'fool'.... I meant to write 'sanctimonious PC-indoctrinated twit'. My apologies.

Dave, it is indeed Ruth Driving Mercedes Getting Paid $500,000 Annual Salary ?

She posted anonymous all the time except when she wanted to tell everybody else here that she earns a $500,000 Annual Salary.

Considering that Annette Presley does read this Not PC blog, I assume that she must be laughing at someone boasting on the internet for a $500,000 annual salary. The true rich people like herself, Bob Jones, Stephen Tindal and the likes don't go boasting about their wealth on the internet since every man and dog in this country knows that they are wealthy, not some unknown wealthy wannabe from nowhere.

So 'proud' that you choose not to state who you are...

That's irony for you! What an idiot!

What about women? What about women who are violent towards men and children? I hope you have allocated them a rung too or is their violence excusable?

And I have to echo others. Your sickly declaration of pride is somewhat compromised by your refusal to identify yourself.
