And I noticed too on her blog the first use in the wild (well, the first time I'd seen it) of a new euphemism:Just finished drinking 2 large 1.5 litres of bottled water. I don't think sleeping will be a problem tonight, other than a 'Jerry Collins' during the night to let out the excess.When I break the seal tonight, I'll be sure to use it.

Dang! When I was in Hong in May last year (2005), it was bloody hot, much hotter than the (Pacific) islands. At night I had to drink a cold doz of heineken and finished it in about an hour and 1/2 to cool me down in readiness for a walk around the city to pub crawl. I didn't need to go to the toilet until well into the 4th hour during my pub crawling session since leaving the hotel.
I am sure that Cactus can consumed more than two 1.5 liters of liquid and still feel fine. Reason : The heat is killing you that any huge amount of fluid you take will be lost by perspirations quite fast, so there is no need to go to the toilet.
I've been to the Cooks, Fiji and Samoa and yep, hotter (and more polluted) here. But the men in the Islands are hotter to compensate so never worry.
Good taste Falafulu prevents me from telling you what happened to the water.
But as you know I do not exhibit good taste so I can confirm that indeed I absorbed the entire 3 litres and didn't need a leak until the morning.
I bought a road atlas when I moved to London and the damned thing has IKEA logos where the shops are - typically near rather revolting white trash areas as far as I can gather.

I can't go back to live in the island anymore as the temperature is my number one enemy. Now, I enjoy being a city boy rather than being a small town one. Even though I got used to that sort of temperature when I grew up there, my physiology has changed since then as I have acclimatised myself to Auckland weather (cooler temperature) now.
On the issue of IKEA, Cactus I think that it is up to the market to decide. If the market shows that there is no demand here in NZ, then it won't sell, therefore forcing them so shut. If there is a demand, then their business will flourish. I am a supporter of having a freedom to choose.
