The compassion of statists

The compassion of statists is hogwash says Helen at Speakeasy. I can't disagree. Isn't compulsory charity an oxymoron? And aren't the bloody anti-Green Brethren leaflets just a shining example of free speech? Susan the Libertarian thinks so.

The reality is PC that your party are a joke and a figure of fun for almost everyone.

You fly the flag for freedom (and thats admirable) but you are unwilling to compromise on ANYTHING to even get any remote reform of New Zealand's statist society.

Hence all you can do is engage in self-masturbation with the rest of your kooky colleagues and howl at the rest of us actually engaging in GENUINE political discourse.

Go back to the sandpit, you bitter little man.

Let others take up, tamper with, revisit, advocate, discredit, deal, deny and drop their principles for the sake of momentary or mid-term expedience. There are quite enough parties doing that!

Let just one party be truely principled from founding day to victory day.

Let us support such a party and let nobody who does not try to tell us the meaning of "GENUINE political discourse".

Well Anonymous, someone seems to have rattled your cage.

“The reality is PC that your party are (sic) a joke and a figure of fun for almost everyone.”

Sounds like a Helen Clark quip. She loves to tell us all that “the majority of New Zealanders would agree that …” whenever she is talking about something controversial. The fact that the majority of NZers would totally disagree never seems to phase her. It obviously does not phase you either.

“You fly the flag for freedom (and thats admirable) but you are unwilling to compromise on ANYTHING to even get any remote reform of New Zealand's statist society.”

Yes, flying the flag for freedom is admirable. And Libertarianz is the only party in NZ doing that. If they ever compromise their values they will be at least one party member less. The only way to permanently convert people to the truth is by telling the truth. You may fool people temporarily with lies and half truths which is why we have elections every three years. Voters wake up to the lies they were told. Interesting to hear the political commentators this time around admitting to the lies being told by the parliamentary hopefuls – as if this is something admirable and the best liar deserves their place in power. What a fucked up country this is with equally fucked up values. The only politician I will excuse is Jim Anderton – he is too damned thick to lie. The crazy things he comes out with I think he actually believes.

“ Hence all you can do is engage in self-masturbation with the rest of your kooky colleagues and howl at the rest of us actually engaging in GENUINE political discourse.”

Who would want to engage in GENUINE political discourse when instead you can self-masturbate (especially with the rest of your kooky colleagues)? You should try it some time Anonymous then perhaps you wouldn’t be so up-tight. But not in the sand pit – definitely not in the sand pit – or you may become a bitter little man.
