I've had to reset the comments section in order to get rid of the spammed comments, which is up to my arse like alligators in a swamp. Sorry to those for whom the verficication system doesn' t work, but the spam is too much.
The anti-spam verification works to block the spamming programs that trawl the internet, but it doesn't stop those idiots who manually input spam comments. I can never understand how these people have the time and the inclination to do something that so many people hate. The only conclusion I can come to is that there are even more idiots out there who make it worthwhile for these spammers to do it. Such a shame...
Perhaps a brute force approach? Although, possible combinations are beyond my mathematical abilities but I'm reasonably sure with a bit of analysis and perhaps access to Blogger API one could create a reasonably predictable model.

Agreed. Spam is too much of a problem not do something about it. It's really not that difficult to type in a verification word, is it?
