I think Frank just gave us the music equivalent of the quote “We buy things we don't need with money we don't have to impress people we don't like.”
But he was right. A lot of interviews and reviews tell you more about the author's prejudices than they do about the subject.

@Greig: Haha. "Fan" might put it too enthusiastically. "Plays the occasional Frank record" might be more accurate. ;-)
