Disaster help

A Filipino friend tells me the best way to help those devastated by Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) is through the Philippines Embassy.

You can find the necessary details halfway down the Embassy website’s front page, i.e.,

the Federation of Filipino Associations, Societies and Clubs in New Zealand Inc. (FFASCNZ Inc.) is now making the necessary arrangements.  Donations may be made at the following bank account:

    •    FFASCNZ Inc Westpac Bank Account: 03-1702-0149293-00
    •    Particulars: Individual’s Name or Name of Organization
    •    Analysis/Reference: YOLANDA

For more detailed information on the donation drive, please contact Ms. Rolyn Demafelis, the representative of the Federation in Wellington, at mobile number 021 0273 6640 or email at rolyn.demafelis@gmail.com.
