“Nobody got rich on their own, so there!”

Some folk are saying this recent tirade against wealth creators  by Obama adviser and now Harvard academic Elizabeth Frigging Warren is “the best thing ever!”

Like hell, says Voices For Reason’s Don Watkins, who reckons “if intellectual obscenities could be ranked,” then this rant, right here, would be right up there. You sitting down. Then here’s what she said:

_Quote5There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own. Nobody.

You built a factory out there? Good for you. But I want to be clear: you moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for; you hired workers the rest of us paid to educate; you were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn’t have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory, and hire someone to protect against this, because of the work the rest of us did.
Now look, you built a factory and it turned into something terrific, or a great idea? God bless. Keep a big hunk of it. But part of the underlying social contract is you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along.

Got that? Here’s Watkins on Elizabeth Warren’s Social Shakedown:

_QuoteThere is a lot one could say about this quote–notice, for instance, that it totally ignores the benefits made possible by the factory–but I’ll confine myself to this: underlying Warren’s rant is a disastrous view of the proper relationship between the individual and society.

That’s right. Turns out, if you take Warren’s rant seriously (and people do) then "It's no longer, 'It takes a village' but, 'This village xxxxin' OWNS you!'" Got that, you worm!

Nasty, huh. Read on here for more.  And watch him here on PJTV:

And, you know, for all its obscenity you don’t just hear Warren’s argument from the left. You hear it from the hippies of the right every time they talk about inventions and patents…

PS: Oh, here’s Peter Schiff:

There is little hope for a world economic recovery if people like this are running the biggest economy.

She clearly has less understanding of basic economics that any high school economics student. The factory owner has already paid for every input into the goods he produces (and in the case of any inputs provided by the state, he will have undoubtedly paid far more than the true value of those inputs).

Has she no sense of history that shows wealth cannot be created at the point of a gun? Taking her view to its logical conclusion results in no factories at all (or at least factories that make Trabants rather than BMWs.) No wonder America is following the Soviet block into bankruptcy and collapse.

PJTV sum it up nicely, that ignorant bint has produced nothing but more snouts at the trough pilfering dollars from that factory owners hip pocket.
The scary thing is how many people think that inanity of an argument is actually valid.
Morons the lot of them

"...but it's all for the common good..."

You can almost see the spittle in the corner of her mouth.

What a truly odious bint.

Atlas flexes.

As with all rabid socialists, she believes that talking loudly and passionately (read: emotional drivel) enough about any topic, will distract people from the content.

Americans aren't falling for it. Having a YouTube presence to look foolish for the permanent record is canon fodder.

This sort of material is helping Obama's exit.

Let's have more if it.
