My friends at the Auckland Uni Economics Group have started up again this year, and they’ve invited me to speak to them tonight about the most prevalent fallacy in economics, one made only more topical by the Christchurch earthquake: The Broken Window Fallacy.

I like also the Spanish French railway built on the Basque coast,to encourage bilateral trade,in the post Napoleonic era.
The railway was rendered useless when tarrifs were raised;
French against Spanish goods, and Spain against French goods.
Yup, always tuesday. Or so I believe.
