G’day Hillary [updated]

Since Hillary Clinton will be our neighbour on Friday—she’s spending the day at Government House in Auckland, which is just next door—we here at NOT PC Towers thought we’d like to make her feel welcome. So . . .  since we have a fairly prominent flagpole here, we’re planning to run something up it just for her.  Something a lot quieter than shouting at her with a megaphone.

Something that will make her feel right at home.

After all, we welcomed Bill the same way when he was next door back in 1999 meeting Jiang Zemin, and we’d hate to have Hillary feeling left out.

’Cos all know just how angry she gets when she does.

UPDATE: You can read about the illustrious history of the flag, known as the Gadsen flag, here. [Hat tip Jeff Perren.]

Watch out for those CIA agents if they spot some of you castle dudes having a BBQ at the turret, because they may come knocking on your doors just to check out if there are snipers up there, exactly as they did when President Clinton was at the same government house in 1999.

No doubt they will recognise, peter and say wow what are you still doing living here.

What's the significance of that particular flag?

Peter,

We all here would be very grateful if you could arrange to keep her, at least for the next three years. If you can figure out a way, we'll be sending you some more, starting with a character named Obama, followed swiftly by two lower forms of life we call Reid and Pelosi.

You're not even required to feed them, as they survive on human blood and are sure to take care of that task themselves.

twr,

You can read about the history of the Gadsen flag, here.

First the Husband and now the Wife!

How many Clinton's will stay next door to you before they are through?

I must admit to feeling a bit sorry for her; I would hate to fly halfway around the World only to have to sit and listen to John Key all day...*sigh*

Hmmm - I wish I could believe it would make her feel homesick.

Her movements will be restricted as she can only come out when the sun is down, and has to stay away from crucifixes. Bill will be having a right good time of course.

Of course Bill is having a good time. He'll be over at Tiger's.

Still, that's no excuse for Hillary not to avail herself of the opportunity for a good time herself. There is a radio show in the USA (XM The Virus) which featured a homeless man one morning. He described in lurid detail his sexual fantasies and what he'd like to do with Hillary (Wiki has an entry describing the Virus show and the story with the homeless guy). Some reckoned that as Bill was so busy being otherwise occupied, this guy was definately the man- up to the job, so to speak.

Thanks for that.

Still don't quite understand why she'd be particularly pleased (or otherwise) to see that, but it sounds harmless.

@TWR: Read that history of the flag linked above. We aren't actually aiming to please her, you know. ;-)
