I know that some like banjo/ukulele music (like PC himself), so I thought that I should post the link to this youtube vid of my uncle's (one in red & white aloha shirt) banjo/ukulele island singing group.
He is coming up from Tonga to Auckland for Christmas, so perhaps I can organize him to play the banjo or the uku, while either Sam P or Olivia The Libertarian (whoever is available & keen) could play the piano as add on. The vocal backup of course will be me and my drinking group (Ofa, Papa, Fina, Uli, Aleki, et al). I think that it would be a good night to get pissed, sing and listen to some banjo.
Did anyone hear Owen McShane describing the situation in rural NZ on Leighton Smith's radio show recently? Erudite and precise, he got his points over clearly.

This article was tweeted today by a friend. I think I might need better friends...
It started well, I almost thought he'd changed his tune. By the end, I realised my friend is still a damned lefty.
Ah well, maybe one day.
Goan trance is better than classical music.
