Defining CharacteristicsWhat gadget/geek "typology" are you? [Hat tip Craig C]
Connectors combine a sense that information technology is good for social purposes with a clear recognition that online resources are a great way to learn new things. Their cell phones have a lot of features, and they also try new things with technology; more than half have watched TV programming on a device like a laptop computer or cell phone.

What kind of technology user am I?
Here you go, I'm a "Connector." See.

PC, I have a question for you and I apologise that it is off-topic.
I was wondering about what your philosophy says about animal rights and animal welfare. In particular, do you think the type of experiment detailed in the link below is morally justifiable?
What would Ayn Rand say about it?

You can email him @ peter.cresswell@libertarianz.org.nz if you want to ask him questions.
Also: I'm an omnivore. Woo?
I am in the Productivity Enhancers group apparently. The basic description for that group seems to fit me, but the defining characteristics and "Who Are They" sections do not.
Hmm, I'm an omnivore, supposedly 8% of the American public.
The strange thing is they say such people do a lot with digital video, and the amount I do with that is exactly zero.
I use "digital video" all the time. I'm always looking at those little numbers on the front of the video player to see how far through the tape is. :-)
Thanks for the anonymous question.
If you leave a name, I'll prepare a post answering that shortly if you like?
Omnivore.
p4w3d!
As to digital video, isn't that what Labour wants all the ex-Fisher and paykel line workers to to do?
Omnivores make up 8% of the American public.
Basic Description
Members of this group use their extensive suite of technology tools to do an enormous range of things online, on the go, and with their cell phones. Omnivores are highly engaged with video online and digital content. Between blogging, maintaining their Web pages, remixing digital content, or posting their creations to their websites, they are creative participants in cyberspace.
Defining Characteristics
You might see them watching video on an iPod. They might talk about their video games or their participation in virtual worlds the way their parents talked about their favorite TV episode a generation ago. Much of this chatter will take place via instant messages, texting on a cell phone, or on personal blogs. Omnivores are particularly active in dealing with video content. Most have video or digital cameras, and most have tried watching TV on a non-television device, such as a laptop or a cell phone.
Omnivores embrace all this connectivity, feeling confident in how they manage information and their many devices. This puts information technology at the center of how they express themselves, do their jobs, and connect to their friends
Thanks PC. The name is Scott Field. If that helps.
On animal rights, WWARD, What would Ayn Rand Do?
Please do post on 'Britches' P.C.
It is a most disturbing case and I would like to see your position on it. I have my view and it is technically criminal so I will refrain from posting it here until you create a special thread.
I hope you can give me a way out of committing a crime!
Okey dokey, Scott.
Feel free to harass me if I'm insufficiently timely. :-)
actually P.C I have now 'got a grip'...and come to terms with my own humanity and realise that no crime is waranted in this case.
I will post my reason for doing nothing except free speech on the proper thread when You do it.
Cheers
