At the Freedom from Religion Foundation (www.ffrf.org) is a book by Annie L Gaylor worth a look - "Woe to the women - the Bible tells me so."

Also a great 40 multi choice question Bible quizz on "what do you really know about the Bible?"

I'd really like to see some parallel quotes from the Koran. It's equally demented.

Hosea's willingness to marry a whore was a prophetic picture of God's willingness to graciously accept an unfaithful people.

Tell me, Mr Cresswell, would you have the grace to marry a perpetual whore? I can assure you that The Good Lord is willing to take you back, even a whore like yourself...

Hosea 10:12 ...
"Sow for yourselves righteousness,
reap the fruit of unfailing love,
for it is time to seek the Lord,
until he comes and showers righteousness on you."

Can we just have the whore of a wife without the brats?

Parallel quotes from the Koran? I don't think so, the sword of Islam has a sting, the Christian ethic of 'turn the other cheek' is a much safer target. Knocking Christians is a very PC thing to be doing.

Right, we should reject whores forever. No one should marry them. Once a whore, always a whore. They can and should never become wifes.

Was that the argument you were making pc?

One can't help but wonder if there are any others ignorant enough to find PC's Bible studies amusing, or if he is well-and-truly lost in libertarian la-la-land.

Hell, it's you lot who look to that book for justification, not me. Though Galt only knows why you would.

"One can't help but wonder if there are any others ignorant enough to find PC's Bible studies amusing.."

You don't find Bible readings amusing, AJ?

Not the same way that you do. I did when I was about 8, and used to sing with my friends "gifts on the fire, and logs on the tree"...

But yeah I grew up soon after that...

A Buddhist walks into a bar and orders a beer. The bartender pours him one saying, "That'll be $3.50." The Buddhist hands him a ten and waits. And waits. After a while, the Buddhist asks: "Hey, where's my change?" The bartender replies: "Change must come from within."

Well PC, you've certainly brought the nutters out of the woodwork with this one.

Check out AJC's blogger profile - it's so wet I thought he was joking at first. Would you believe he was an environmental planner?!
His blogs make for amusing reading too.

What do you mean by "wet"?

In the whole of the canon of Scripture a prominent theme is that by which God takes a cheap whore and transforms her into a virgin bride. As Warren Gage argues, the virgin bride of Revelation 21 is rescued from the city of the whore of Babylon of Revelation 17-18, just as the prostitute Rahab was delivered from the city of Jericho.

In the gospels Jesus meets a number of women with disreputable pasts, who later become His followers (Mary Magdalene, the woman who washes Jesus’ feet, the woman at the well, etc.). Through Matthew 1’s delicate allusion to the story of Tamar, this whole broad theme is brought to the surface, with the story of Tamar providing a witness to it.

I was married to my husband for 10 years and we were both bless with three children, living together as one , until 2014 when things was no longer the way the was, when he lost his job. But when he later gets a new job 6 months after, he started sleeping outside our matrimonial home. Only for me to find out that he was having an affair with the lady that gave him the job. since that day, when i called him, he no longer pick up my calls. Yet my husbands just still keep on seeing the lady. Until I met a very good friend of my who was also having a similar problem, who introduced me to a very good love spell caster. But i told her that if it has to do with things that i am not interested, but she said that it has nothing to do with pay first. but the only thing he was ask to do was just to go and buy the items to cast the spell, and that was what she did. And she gave me the spell caster e-mail address and phone number. When i contacted him, i was so surprise when he said that if i have the faith that i will get my husband back in the nest three [3] days, and which it was really so. but i was so shock that i did not pay any thing to Eziza but my husband was on his kneels begging me and the children for forgiveness. This testimony is just the price i have to pay. This man Eziza is good and he is the author of my happiness. His e-mail address ezizaspiritualshrine@yahoo.com and his phone number is +2347054206121
