You mean The Bowery?
I have to presume that, but all the references I've seen for it call it by the more flowery name. Go figure. :-)
'Flowery' is right, albeit ironic given the state of the district when I lived in Conn. in the 80's.
Abysmal, destitute and probably rent-controlled from A-Z ...
Does anyone know anything else about this project?
Bouwerie is the original Dutch spelling of Bowery, the Anglicized version.
