Appeasing the unappeasable

Ah, wouldn't you know it. The Stone Agers of the Maori Party (right) appeasing the stoners and wreckers of the Dark Ages:
HERALD: The Maori Party says it fails to see anything funny about the controversial Muhammad cartoons...
I guess a sense of humour would help.

HERALD STORY: Maori Party says cartoons no joke.

At least she's being straight up, "She said the "freedom of speech" argument does not wash with her..." Unlike Clark, Carter, Swain etc; Freedom of speech but...

Turia is simply easier to expose for her beliefs now, but it doesn't surprise me that she said it.

Doesn't surprise me either, Robin. I was waiting for it.

That's the thing about the Maori Party. There's no surprises .. they're consistently racist!

If you can't laugh at yourself now and again, you will find little else amusing.

Others, however, have no difficulty finding much that is humourous in such persons...

You bet the "freedom of speech" thing doesn't suit Turia or some other Maori activists--they've enjoyed a dream run from the media and from many of the public because the freedom to criticize Maoris has been all but stamped out.
It's "inappropriate" you see...

Exactly - don't dare insult anything Maori.

Not this Kiwi, Scott!

Racists, bureaucrats, totalitarians, politically correct twats ... they're all fair game as far as I'm concerned - and to hell with where they were born, who they are or what they look like. :)
