We welcome thoughtful disagreement.
But we do (ir)regularly moderate comments -- and we *will* delete any with insulting or abusive language. Or if they're just inane or off topic. It’s okay to disagree, but pretend you’re having a drink in the living room with the person you’re disagreeing with. This includes me.
PS: Have the honesty and courage to use your real name. That gives added weight to any opinion.
New Zealand elections have regularly disproven that theory. Whenever the rich have tried to buy an election they have failed miserably.
ReplyDeleteBuying elections is one thing--study after study shows that money tends to be irrelevant to who wins elections. The issue is the vast unelected body of government, unaccountable to voters--the millions of bureaucrats that are scuttling around various offices, all of whom provide opportunities for companies to influence policies without the general public ever knowing about it.
