No Kiwisaver, we're MPs!

MPs are voting with their own wallets on what they think of Kiwisaver: the just-released Register of Pecuniary Interests shows that "while all 121 MPs had some form of superannuation saving ... only five listed KiwiSaver. All were Labour MPs and only one - Pete Hodgson, 57 - is a Cabinet minister."

Obvious conclusions are invited.

  1. Let's see - one the one hand, I could contribute to the parliamentary super scheme and get a $2.50 subsidy from the plebs for every $1 I pay in...or on the other hand, I could open a kiwiloser account. Which will it be then?

We welcome thoughtful disagreement.
But we do (ir)regularly moderate comments -- and we *will* delete any with insulting or abusive language. Or if they're just inane. It’s okay to disagree, but pretend you’re having a drink in the living room with the person you’re disagreeing with. This includes me.
PS: Have the honesty and courage to use your real name. That gives added weight to any opinion.
