187,000 people escaped from extreme poverty yesterday
"I'd like to quote the founder and proprietor of Our World in Data, who said that the papers could have had the headline: '187,000 people escaped from extreme poverty yesterday,' every day for the last 30 years! But you never see that headline, and as a result, a billion people escaped from extreme poverty -- one of the most significant events in human history -- and no one knows about it."
