Globalisation has increased the threat of the coronavirus?
That's dead wrong, explains Johan Norberg. Globalisation has actually increased both knowledge of and resistance to major disease outbreaks. (Let's hope his short explainer goes viral ... )

  1. It isn’t the fastest response in history. The CCP knew about this virus in early December, but did nothing. They also cracked down on information that was flowing out of the country. I recognise the benefits of global free trade, but we shouldn’t do it with the communists. They are currently making murmurings about cutting off medical supplies to America. Evil through and through.

We welcome thoughtful disagreement.
But we do (ir)regularly moderate comments -- and we *will* delete any with insulting or abusive language. Or if they're just inane or off topic. It’s okay to disagree, but pretend you’re having a drink in the living room with the person you’re disagreeing with. This includes me.
PS: Have the honesty and courage to use your real name. That gives added weight to any opinion.
