Invitation to an art exhibition

Two top local artists I follow are exhibiting more new work out at Kings College this weekend.

Here’s their news:

Dear friends and supporters,
We hope you are well. Our recent exhibition, Ecdysis, was a great success and we thank you all for your support, interest and feedback.
We are happy to announce that we will be taking part in this year's King's College Fine Art Exhibition again, alongside many other established New Zealand artists as well as emerging ones. Be sure to check it out if you get the chance.

The cocktail party is on Friday November 6th, 6.30pm - 10pm.
    Tickets are available on www.kingsfineart.co.nz
The show is open to the public on Saturday November 7th, 10am - 4pm and Sunday November 8th, 10am - 3pm.

I will be showing a small triptych I started whilst out exploring the redwoods in California last year, and then finished in my studio here in NZ. I also have some large nudes in the show. It has been lovely to delve into figure work again after my abstract and colour explorations during the Ecdysis project.

Jasmine Kamante - Redwoods Triptych 2Redwoods Triptych,  acrylic ink and oil on panel, 300 x 200mm each panel

Jesper will be showing some still-lifes, once again deconstructing the traditional approach…

Jesper Sundwall - Garlic, discombobulated 2
Garlic, discombobulated 1, oil on canvas, 406 x 406 mm

We will also be showing our very first collaborative painting, which we started during Artweek.

We hope you can join us!

Best wishes,
Jasmine & Jesper

We welcome thoughtful disagreement.
But we do (ir)regularly moderate comments -- and we *will* delete any with insulting or abusive language. Or if they're just inane or off topic. It’s okay to disagree, but pretend you’re having a drink in the living room with the person you’re disagreeing with. This includes me.
PS: Have the honesty and courage to use your real name. That gives added weight to any opinion.
