ReplyDeleteYou know, it's only since the advent of mass media that a big has been made of floods and droughts. Third-rate journos have managed to convince people that fairly ordinary weather events are the end of the world and a lot of fools are sucked in by it.
In the past, people simply endured, rebuilt and got on with their lives.
