  1. Let me guess, Barry Curtis put some careful thought into this.

I wonder when my free padlock will arrive in my letterbox.

  2. The removed comment was mine. Blogger logged me in as a new account when I tried log in using my Gmail account.

Anyway, the comments's point was that I almost feel of my chair laughing.

  3. A good 80% of Sth Auckland's problems could be ameliorated by raising the sale of alcohol age to 20. Most of the street fights, crime, vandalism etc are fuelled by alcohol whether you choose to be in denial about the issue or not. Guns won't solve it - they will make it worse.

  4. Raising the alcohol purchase age to 20 will do absolutely nothing. Sure, alcohol fuels violence and crime (for some people), but it is the welfare system that gives aimless people the money to buy alcohol in the first place.

We welcome thoughtful disagreement.
But we do (ir)regularly moderate comments -- and we *will* delete any with insulting or abusive language. Or if they're just inane. It’s okay to disagree, but pretend you’re having a drink in the living room with the person you’re disagreeing with. This includes me.
PS: Have the honesty and courage to use your real name. That gives added weight to any opinion.
