The only other member of the national party who sets a spark for me is Judith Collins. I have met the woman and she has the most incredible presence. One, VERY seldom experiences this from another person.
She can certainly hold her own during debate, she is an academic achiever, her capacity for detail and memory are exemplary.
1.He made his money in a real competitive market. Not just talking the talk but walking the walk. 2. He is smart enough not to have committed himself to positions he can be caned with before he needs to 3. His personal history has an enormous added value and there is a reasonable chance he will take a pragmatic rather than idealistic course to add value for New Zealand

pardon me while I grab a bucket. All I can think of is that he is better than Clark, but then again I'd like someone to lift the bar more than a couple of inches above her.
We welcome thoughtful disagreement. But we do (ir)regularly moderate comments -- and we *will* delete any with insulting or abusive language. Or if they're just inane. It’s okay to disagree, but pretend you’re having a drink in the living room with the person you’re disagreeing with. This includes me. PS: Have the honesty and courage to use your real name. That gives added weight to any opinion.
