Cease fire = peace?

Today's thought from Thomas Sowell:
People are calling for a cease-fire in the interests of peace. But there have been more cease-fires in the Middle East than anywhere else. If cease-fires actually promoted peace, the Middle East would be the most peaceful region on the face of the earth instead of the most violent.

    Yeah, I read something today from the Lebanese Prez about how all this violence is only going to create a CYCLE of violence. Um...

    It is the policy of Muslim terrorists to agree to a cease fire when things are going bad for them, use the time to regroup and when they are back to strength to strike. I understand this policy was advocated by Mohammed in the Koran.
