You know, these stories from Matata about people's houses sliding into the mud are harrowing aren't they. And without exception the people affected who I've heard interviewed are bravely matter of fact about the whole experience.
The opposite of matter-of-fact is the unhinged Mike Ward from the Greens -- on Auckland University campus yesterday debating environmentalism he told the crowd the mudslides were a product of global warming. What an idiot.
