Death spiral strangely stable

Artic ice is in “a death spiral” alleged scientists told the White House – “This situation has the momentum of a runaway train,” they say, which could see the “ ice free as early as 2015”!

They forgot to tell the ice.

In February, 1940 near-polar sea ice was two metres thick.
Seventy five years later, the Navy reports that near-polar Arctic sea ice is two metres thick.

Your move, death spiralists.

We welcome thoughtful disagreement.
But we do (ir)regularly moderate comments -- and we *will* delete any with insulting or abusive language. Or if they're just inane or off topic. It’s okay to disagree, but pretend you’re having a drink in the living room with the person you’re disagreeing with. This includes me.
PS: Have the honesty and courage to use your real name. That gives added weight to any opinion.
