On a morning after a surprisingly difficult day before in Dunedin, it seems appropriate to look to a Scottish poet for solace; as from 'To A Louse':
O wad some Power the giftie gie us
To see oursels as ithers see us!
So, going from one lousy poet to another, here then is the self-declared next great Aussie bush poet with some cultural insights into New Zealand -- all the way from the Geebung RSL.
I hadn't realised Nicky Watson travelled so well...

We welcome thoughtful disagreement.
But we do (ir)regularly moderate comments -- and we *will* delete any with insulting or abusive language. Or if they're just inane or off topic. It’s okay to disagree, but pretend you’re having a drink in the living room with the person you’re disagreeing with. This includes me.
PS: Have the honesty and courage to use your real name. That gives added weight to any opinion.
