Perkins House, by Richard Neutra

Artist Connie Perkins loved this aesthetically charged corner of her small 130m2 Richard Neutra home so much that she moved her bed into the lounge so she could wake up with it every morning.

Now that’s love.

Can you see where it appears in the house?

  1. Would that pond let the weather in?

  2. This pond was designed for the house by artist Nancy Hicks Grenier, an art history student of Connie Perkins. There is glass going into the water, keeping the weather out.

We welcome thoughtful disagreement.
But we do (ir)regularly moderate comments -- and we *will* delete any with insulting or abusive language. Or if they're just inane. It’s okay to disagree, but pretend you’re having a drink in the living room with the person you’re disagreeing with. This includes me.
PS: Have the honesty and courage to use your real name. That gives added weight to any opinion.
