As Mary Ann Sures said of Ayn Rand's death, "now anger has gone out of the world. And it's the world's loss, and mine."
Goodbye, Anna.
UPDATE 2: Funeral time and location confirmed: 2pm this Saturday, December 5th, at North Harbour Stadium’s function centre. Come along and pay your respects. All welcome.
May you rest in peace, dearest Anna. Such a lovely, grounded and fun person. Kasper
ReplyDeleteGoodbye Anna.
ReplyDeleteYou were so strong and so brave.
Didn't know Anna very well - but know that it is a loss of a great sense of life individual. Best wishes to you and Carol Pete, I know you'll be hurting. Salute.
ReplyDeleteBye Anna, hope you got the messages left yesterday.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sad news PC. My thoughts are with those who were closest to her.
ReplyDeleteVery sad news. I miss her already. My thoughts go to Anna's whanau and friends. Kia kaha.
ReplyDeleteShe faced the end of her short life as I would hope to be able to...
ReplyDeleteTo Anna's family,
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Bugger.
ReplyDeleteWeird to think that less than a month ago she was sitting across the table having a cup of tea. Very sad - she was a good sort.
Good on you Anna. You'll be missed.
As Whaleoil said: hope the messages got passed on yesterday. The world is the poorer for your passing, Anna. Bugger.
ReplyDeleteWill there be a celebration of Anna's life? I'd like to be there. Give us notice - weekend preferable.
ReplyDeleteI can recommend steroids for CNS problems - such as Anna's tumour, and the lumbar disc prolapse that laid me low three years ago. So glad that these wonderful drugs gave Anna several months of meaningful life, and afforded me relief from agonising pain.
ReplyDeleteDrink to Annie Fox!
ReplyDeleteRegards to all her friends and family and let the Auckland bloggers give her a good send off tomorrow night for bloggers drinks.
Let us be glad her pain has passed so we can now all share the load of her passing.
My thoughts will be with you all. :)

Goodbye Anna, Thank you for being an inspiration to us all. You will be sorely missed. Rest in peace.
ReplyDeleteI can see the words written there, and it's not that it wasn't expected, but it is still hard to believe. She did so well for so long. Best wishes to you and Carol, and the other friends and family she has left behind.
ReplyDeleteMy heartfelt condolences to you Peter & Carol, and of course to Maria. Sad sad news indeed. The end whilst a long time coming seems so sudden. I will remember Anna as the bright & bubbly gal she was, even to the end, for her courageousness & fighting spirit, someone who possessed spunk, rationality and a kind heart - a rare and treasured mix. She will be missed by many. I am out of the country & will pay my respects on my return.
ReplyDeleteFarewell Anna. I will always have great memories of our friendship and our work together. My thoughts go out to the family.
ReplyDeleteVery sad news indeed, and a great loss. My condolences to family and friends.
ReplyDeleteVery sad news. I only knew Anna through her blog. She was so strong and brave and cheerful, an inspiration to all.

Anna's sense of life - and love of it - is reflected by all those who have left all the wonderful and touching blog comments after she left us. Her funeral today will no doubt reflect this and although I am overseas and unable to attend, I know that she will be surrounded by her dear friends and family who have been by her side and to whom she has provided so much inspiration.
ReplyDeleteGood bye Anna.
