One down, eight to go

One of the nine charities to which Winston Peters 'donated' money that didn't belong to him (that is, taxpayer money he illegally used for electioneering in 205) has returned it, saying, "it is unclear if the party 'has any right' to make a charitable donation on money wrongly spent at the last election."

Good on the Cystic Fibrosis Association.  Why not reward them for their honesty?

    The Dompost today has the Tom Scott cartoon and first three or four letters to the editor ripping shit out of Winston for his stunt.

We welcome thoughtful disagreement.
But we do (ir)regularly moderate comments -- and we *will* delete any with insulting or abusive language. Or if they're just inane. It’s okay to disagree, but pretend you’re having a drink in the living room with the person you’re disagreeing with. This includes me.
PS: Have the honesty and courage to use your real name. That gives added weight to any opinion.
