One of those ideas that when you see it you think what a simple solution: why aren't all underwater tunnels done like that. Must be cheaper than digging under the seabird like the Chunnal.
I've had an idea along those lines, integrated with a few others, that I've been aiming to unveil when the time's ripe. If it ever is.
I would take a bit of convincing that it's safe... both from large storms, tsunamis and errant ships!
