Moving in

PICT0256I've just returned from helping some very special clients move into their freshly renovated California Bungalow in Mt Eden.  Very satisfying.

Naturally, given the sodden winter, there's still a few things to complete, mostly outside, but here's a wee peek inside from the new kitchen.

  4. Interesting how the dropped ceiling over the benchtop makes the kitchen ceiling seem much higher, although it's very hard to work out scale from that picture. Is it about 2100 high?? The stain on the timber (radiata?) makes it look a bit purply but otherwise very slick piece of work, PC. Not exactly to my tastes with all the extraneous timberwork but the contrast with the stark white walls does work.

Yes indeed. That's those "complex psychological means" being used again.

    "Is it about 2100 high??"

Yes, the ceiling deck is about 2100. I prefer to use something a little lower (every mm helps), but clients are always so timid. :-)

One likes to ensure all the furniture is in the right place. ;^)

We welcome thoughtful disagreement.
