Message to students

Trevor Loudon has something to think about for those young students who sign up so casually to the politicial cause de jour, specifically those dozens of young people at Victoria, Auckland and Canterbury Universities who sign up to the Workers Party.

Do you really know what you're supporting?

  1. I can see a lot of Pacific Islanders marching in support of the Workers Party, and I think that they just want to receive more handouts without trying to work hard to earn a living independently. This is the sort of attitude that perhaps Malcolm X had quoted, where people imprison themselves in their own minds thinking they were destine to be poor therefore, they need to share someone else's wealth (society's producers) by demanding or else expect to receive handouts (government).

We welcome thoughtful disagreement.
But we do (ir)regularly moderate comments -- and we *will* delete any with insulting or abusive language. Or if they're just inane or off topic. It’s okay to disagree, but pretend you’re having a drink in the living room with the person you’re disagreeing with. This includes me.
PS: Have the honesty and courage to use your real name. That gives added weight to any opinion.
