We are all Londoners today
"We are all Londoners today." That was the response from Jenny Dervin of Atlanta to the Times Online, and doesn't it describe the way we all feel this morning. The vibrant, tolerant city of London is today's front line in the battle for those western values that makes cities across the west the great places they are. The smiling, celebrating faces that were in evidence in London yesterday celebrating their Olympic victorywill be back, and when they are it will be a victory for all of us.

We welcome thoughtful disagreement.
But we do (ir)regularly moderate comments -- and we *will* delete any with insulting or abusive language. Or if they're just inane or off topic. It’s okay to disagree, but pretend you’re having a drink in the living room with the person you’re disagreeing with. This includes me.
PS: Have the honesty and courage to use your real name. That gives added weight to any opinion.
Thanks for the link PC. I love the poem at the end. But I dare not use the words "bloody sods" myself for fear of understatement.
ReplyDeleteWhile contemplating sympathy for London, I am forced to ask this question.... Why weren't we "all Iraqis, now" during the hsuB/Blair terrorists attacks that have continued on that country for the last 2&1/2 years ????? Why don't you people weep for the hundreds of thousands of innocent victims of the biggest terrorists? Food for thought.... please !
