This is different from the 19th century when the US was capital poor and low skilled laborers could find plenty of things to do without learning. Now, with the US being a capital rich country, to take part in those riches, labor needs the skills to make use of the capital. A low skilled worker can dig a ditch with a shovel, but he can't compete with a back-hoe. He has to learn to operate the back hoe to compete. In examples where the capital is more complex even than a back-hoe, this learning may not even be possible for some.

#2 and #3: Immigrants from *some* countries are welfare prone, while immigrants from other countries are not. Refugees and asylees are not only eligible for all welfare programs citizens are, there are even special extra programs for them not available to citizens! You can understand this better by noting that open borders zealots like the author always refer to welfare usage per person, while the appropriate measure is per household. Two immigrants (legal or not) with a child born in the US (an "anchor baby") are themselves not eligible for many welfare benefits, but the CHILD IS ELIGIBLE, and thee payments don't go to the child but the parents. So by looking at welfare usage BY HOUSEHOLD, rather than by individual, a more accurate picture is painted of immigrant welfare usage.

#6: Immigrants from SOME countries are much more violent and criminal as from other countries. Though good data is sparse, and so no overall conclusion is possible within the margin of error as to whether immigrants AS A WHOLE are more violent than Americans (remember, "Americans" include black men ages 16-35 who commit almost half the violent crimes in the US, which skews the statistics wildly upward) or or less violent, it is beyond doubt that immigrants from SOME countries are more violent than Americans as a whole, while immigrants from OTHER countries are not. Immigration zealots never tell us why we can't choose to have more of the latter and fewer of the former.

#12: " Immigrants change to fit into the existing order rather than vice versa." this is not true today in the US, and has never been true in the US, and it has never been true around the world throughout world history. Advocate open borders for Israel, for example, and see how well the immigrants will "fit into the existing order". It's ridiculous. The quote from known liar Paul Krugman seals the deal on this issue.Edhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03432146226357032162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11906042.post-89547422502187161782016-08-13T09:01:36.346+12:002016-08-13T09:01:36.346+12:00I like the old photos you show in these arguments....I like the old photos you show in these arguments. I think its a stark contrast to rivers of Muslims barging in to western Europe and maintaining the crude behaviour of their homelands.

3:16Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11906042.post-350734993770786512016-08-13T05:42:46.734+12:002016-08-13T05:42:46.734+12:00New Zealand's problem is there are not enough ...New Zealand's problem is there are not enough middle-eastern muslims immigrants.
