And it is only going to get better.

Try TradeMe for a good fridge. There are usually plenty and some are near new. Take your time and check a few out. You can be sure of getting a really good one for a pittance.

If you are unhappy with TradeMe, try the classifieds in the papers as well (always check the suburbans first- those wee backwaters often throw up happy surprises).

There are plenty of people trying to quit stuff because they are skint. That brings us to pawn shops. Don't be too proud to check those out. Many of them give you a limited guarantee on goods purchased.

You can certainly have most stuff you need for a pittance. Take your time. Be pateient. Negotiate discounts on discounts. People are hungry for cash right now. As times get tighter the selection and quality of things keeps improving. You'll be pleasantly surprised at what you can find.

Happy hunting

LGMLGMnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11906042.post-21036971378534053502009-06-25T08:22:22.021+12:002009-06-25T08:22:22.021+12:00So much for Invercargill's reputation as the S...So much for Invercargill's reputation as the Southern Riviera, eh? :-)Peter Cresswellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10699845031503699181noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11906042.post-80642341586667862112009-06-25T07:29:52.898+12:002009-06-25T07:29:52.898+12:00-4? The washing machine will get a new pump (fitted by me from a salvaged one at the local dump), we'll put up with the mattress until we can afford to pay for a new one and simply ignore the fridge problem.
And we may be trendsetters, I fear....
(word verification for this comment is 'credu')KGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01940428991630766942noreply@blogger.com
