Bonus Quote of the Day: On house prices

“High house prices relative to incomes don't in themselves
pose a threat as long as interest rates remain low.  The
consensus view is that interest rates will head lower this year
and remain quite low.  Unfortunately, the consensus view is
more often wrong than right.”

  1. Wife and I have just bought a couple of extra houses so I will wager that everything to do with housing will turn to crap. Aucklanders are active in Wellington now so the market is quite brisk where we live - not sure about other areas.

We welcome thoughtful disagreement.
But we do (ir)regularly moderate comments -- and we *will* delete any with insulting or abusive language. Or if they're just inane. It’s okay to disagree, but pretend you’re having a drink in the living room with the person you’re disagreeing with. This includes me.
PS: Have the honesty and courage to use your real name. That gives added weight to any opinion.
