Whatever happened to peak oil?

Now that the Ginger Whinger is retiring, can we please permanently put to bed some of his failed and more fanciful memes? Like peak oil?

    So peak oil - the mathematical certainty that oil production will rise, peak and then fall off - is a fanciful meme?

    The question should be how fucked up would NZ be if the Greens planned transport around their peak oil call?
