When it was built, Eero Saarinen’s 1962 TWA Terminal at New York’s JFK Airport was a dramatic celebration of the New Age of Modern Flight—which in 1962 virtually meant the modern age.
Having just been renovated for the new New Age of Mass Modern Flight, one lucky blogger got a chance to look around. As they say, “This was the cathedral to aviation, if there ever was one, and you [still] feel through the design the pride and optimism [of] the aviation industry.”
