Bonus Quote of the Day, on ‘The Shutdown’

Since this is such an auspicious day in North America, what with ObamaCare starting and the federal government’s non-essential services being shut down and all, I figured—what the hell—with such a great teaching moment in front of us, let’s have a bonusly topical Quote of the Day. So here it is.

“Two-thirds of government workers were told to stay at home today because they're considered nonessential. The real tragedy would be if they were told to come back.”

  1. Good quote. And I wish they are told not to come back.......

Oh well, at least we can dream.

Here is another quote but is only for some fun.

"When I die I want to go quietly in my sleep like my great-grandmother did, not screaming and yelping in fear as did the three passengers in her car." - Anon

We welcome thoughtful disagreement.
But we do (ir)regularly moderate comments -- and we *will* delete any with insulting or abusive language. Or if they're just inane. It’s okay to disagree, but pretend you’re having a drink in the living room with the person you’re disagreeing with. This includes me.
PS: Have the honesty and courage to use your real name. That gives added weight to any opinion.
