Quote of the day: “Poverty is not the same thing as inequality…”

Truth from a Guardian reader…

  1. I **can't be bothered** with people who whine about "inequality".

The West will ALWAYS have "inequality" because PEOPLE are born unequal. The more intelligent will tend to go to uni and become doctors, lawyers, programmers.

The less-intelligent will leave school at 15 and will tend to go into more manual jobs - labouring, forestry, driving.

( Farmers could be put in either group IMO).

We welcome thoughtful disagreement.
But we do (ir)regularly moderate comments -- and we *will* delete any with insulting or abusive language. Or if they're just inane or off topic. It’s okay to disagree, but pretend you’re having a drink in the living room with the person you’re disagreeing with. This includes me.
PS: Have the honesty and courage to use your real name. That gives added weight to any opinion.
