Help the Greens

Yes, here's your chance to help the Greens.

TVNZ reports the Greens are "seeking feedback from the public ahead of a crucial caucus meeting next Tuesday," when its MPs will decide whether or not they should support the government's Emissions Trading Scam.

I invite you to offer them the help they ask for, both at Frog Blog (here and here), and at the dedicated email address ets@greens.org.nz.

Be polite but firm.  Feel free to select points from earlier posts on the subject here at NOT PC.  And do feel free to suggest they propose a very special carbon tax instead, and a Kyoto Plan with a difference.

  1. Mmm. I've registered and put up a quick, 'polite but firm' post, however, it's not showing up.

I'll try again later: the Greens probably haven't quite figured out this Internetty thing yet. Or they're moderating the site, very slowly.

We welcome thoughtful disagreement.
But we do (ir)regularly moderate comments -- and we *will* delete any with insulting or abusive language. Or if they're just inane. It’s okay to disagree, but pretend you’re having a drink in the living room with the person you’re disagreeing with. This includes me.
PS: Have the honesty and courage to use your real name. That gives added weight to any opinion.
